
MSU 4x200 Team Advances To Final At Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA, Penn. ? Mississippi State finished Day 2 of the Penn Relays with the men's 4x200 relay team qualifying for the championship final.
The squad of D'Angelo Cherry, Dwight Mullings, Emanuel Mayers and Justin Christian place third in the college men's 4x200 heat with a time of 1 minute, 23.34 seconds.
Earning one of the eight fastest times qualified the men's relay team for the championship final Saturday.
On the women's side, Senior Marrissa Harris ran a time of 13.41 seconds in the college women's 100-meter hurdles heat to finish fourth.
Lady Bulldog Priscilla Gaines jumped an eighth-place mark in the college women's triple jump with a distance of 39 feet, 3 inches.
State heads into the final round of the Penn Relays Saturday. Leading off for the Bulldogs is Kendrick Polluard in the college men's triple jump at 2 p.m.
