Saturday Softball Exhibition Schedule Cancelled Due To Rain

STARKVILLE, Miss. - Heavy rains that drenched the Starkville area Friday night have forced the cancellation of the Mississippi State softball team's fall opener at the MSU Softball Field on Saturday.
State was scheduled to host Delta State and Shelton State Community College beginning at 3 p.m. this afternoon.
Sunday's slate of games remain scheduled for an 11 a.m. start. Marion Military Institute and Wallace State Community College meet in Sunday's opener, and the 2008-09 Bulldogs debut immediately following at 1 p.m. Head coach Jay Miller's squad closes out the first of two weekends of fall action at 3 p.m. taking on Wallace State.
Admission to all MState home softball games is free.
