
SEC's Together We CAN Food Drive Set For September 19-28

STARKVILLE, Miss. - For the second consecutive year, student-athletes across the Southeastern Conference are joining forces to help the community. From Friday, September 19 thru Sunday, September 28, all 12 SEC schools will participate in the 2008 Together We CAN Drive, benefiting regional food banks and shelters.
The SEC will partner with the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) members from each SEC institution for the league-wide effort. The drive will be held at home athletic contests, as well as designated community locations, during the 10-day time period.
At Mississippi State, drop-off points during the 10-day event will be established in the Bryan Athletic Administration Building (second floor conference room) and at Piggly Wiggly on Highway 12 in Starkville. In addition, collections will be held at the following home MSU Athletic events:
Friday, Sept. 19 - Soccer, MSU vs. Memphis, 7 p.m.
Sunday, Sept. 21- Softball, MSU vs. Wallace State (Exh.), 3 p.m.
Friday, Sept. 26 - Soccer, MSU vs. LSU, 7 p.m.
Sunday, Sept. 28 - Soccer, MSU vs. Arkansas, 1 p.m.; Volleyball, MSU vs. Auburn, 1:30 p.m.
