In the women's field events, all three MSU competitors posted season-best marks and placed in the top 10 in the javelin throw, with junior Marrissa Harris finishing the highest in fifth with her throw of 112 feet, six inches. “The 4x100 and 4x200 women won both of those relays and that was great,” said Schmidt. “Priscilla (Gaines) won the long jump. We had a good day. It was a dual meet between us and Georgia basically. I thought we dominated and did really well. It has been a great weekend. Going into the Penn Relays, the men have a chance to win a few races, especially in the relays. This is the best we have been going into the Penn Relays. This is also setting us up for the SEC Championships.”
After a first-class performance this weekend, the Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs will turn their attention to the prestigious Penn Relays, set to take place on April 24-26 in Philadelphia, Penn.
