Men's Basketball Game With Missouri Moved To Dec. 30 As Part Of Doubleheader
December 18, 2007 | Men's Basketball
STARKVILLE, Miss. - Mississippi State's men's basketball home game with Missouri on Dec. 29 has been moved to Sunday, Dec. 30, as part of a doubleheader with the Lady Bulldog basketball squad. The moved was made due to the conflict with MSU's football team competing in the 2007 AutoZone Liberty Bowl in Memphis on the 29th.
On the 30th, the Bulldogs and Tigers will meet at 12:30 p.m. CT at Humphrey Coliseum in a game to be televised by SportSouth. In conjunction, tipoff for the Lady Bulldogs' matchup with Louisiana-Lafayette that afternoon has been moved to 3:30 p.m. CT.
"We are very appreciative of the cooperation we received from Missouri in making this change to our men's basketball schedule so that it does not conflict with our appearance in the Liberty Bowl," MSU director of athletics Larry Templeton said. "Athletic Director Mike Alden and Senior Associate AD Sarah Reesman were both very helpful in accomodating our request and making this happen."
A buy-one-get-one-free general admission ticket (two tickets for $10) will be available for admission to both games of the Sunday twinbill. In addition, current Lady Bulldog basketball season ticket holders will be admitted to the men's game (general admission seating only) by showing their season tickets at the gates. Men's basketball ticket holders may remain in the arena for the women's game. The tickets will only be available at the Humphrey Coliseum ticket office beginning at 10:30 a.m. the day of the games.
