Lady Bulldogs Conclude Day One at Cougar Classic

MSU was led on day one by senior Amanda Mathis, who shot a 149 and stands ina tie for 31st. Sophomore Leigh Phillips had an eagle in the first round andshot a career-best 72 in the second round and sits in a tie for 38th.Juniors Julia Huh and Emily Parker fired a 156 and a 164 respectively whileJillian Jones rounded out the scoring with a 165.
North Carolina and LSU are tied at the top of the leaderboard at 3-over parwhile Alabama stands in third at +6. Whitney Brummet from Florida State andLauren Hunt from North Carolina are the co-leaders in the individualcompetition at 4-under par.
