William Walter Suggs Jr. played football at Mississippi State from 1958 to 1960, where he played offensive tackle.
Suggs was named a Second Team All-SEC performer in 1959 and 1960 while also serving as team captain on the 1959 team. Suggs also earned Academic All-SEC accolades in 1960.
Following his days at Mississippi State, Suggs spent 10 years in the NFL with the Houston Oilers, three times earning All-Pro honors.
