Werner J. "Dutch" Luchsinger

Luchsinger served as Mississippi State’s Head Athletic Trainer from 1949 to 1965.
“Dutch” worked as an U.S. Olympic Trainer in 1960. In his career, Luchsinger would also serve as an Athletic Trainer for the New Orleans Buccaneers of the American Basketball Association (ABA).
Luchsinger was inducted in the Mississippi Athletic Trainers’ Association (MATA) Hall of Fame’s inaugural class in 2003. Along with his induction into the Southeast Athletic Trainers' Association (SETA) Hall of Fame’s inaugural class of 2007.
