Rob Cadwallader was a star for Mississippi State’s men’s tennis team from 1967 to 1970 and continued his great tennis career for decades after graduating from the university.

While at MSU, Cadwallader received All-SEC Tennis Team honors every year he lettered. He was part of the 1967 SEC championship team, which ranked third in the nation. He was the singles winner on Court 5 and the doubles winner on Court 3. He was also a member of the SEC runner-up team in 1968, which ranked 10th in the nation, where he was the singles runner-up on court two. In 1970, he earned a singles runner-up finish as well on Court 1.

After his time at MSU, he went on to play for the United States’ Senior Team five times, winning two world titles. He also ranked number one among U.S. seniors, winning the national championship eight times and finishing as runner-up eight times. He was also a professional at the Racquet Club of Memphis for thirty years. He eventually moved on to Olive Branch Country Club, where he also worked as a tennis professional.
