Michael Haddix played football at Mississippi State from 1979 to 1982. He was a two-time All-SEC selection in 1981 & 1982.
While at Mississippi State, Haddix rushed for 2,558 yards and 20 touchdowns. Through the air, he had 353 yards and two scores. Haddix averaged 6.0 yards per carry (425 career carries).
In 1982, he was named the MVP of the Golden Egg Classic, while also being invited to the Bluebonnet Bowl, Hula Bowl, Senior Bowl, and the Blue-Gray Classic.
He was the 8th overall pick by the Philadelphia Eagles in the 1983 NFL Draft. He played 8 NFL seasons between the Eagles and Green Bay Packers.
