Kent Hull played football at Mississippi State from 1979 to 1982. After his time with the Bulldogs, he joined the Buffalo Bills, where he spent the rest of his football career.
While at MSU, Hull had a decorated career. He was a consensus First-Team Freshman All-SEC in 1979 and a pre-season All-American selection in 1982. He was named second-team All-SEC center in 1980 as well. During his senior year, he was also selected to play in the Blue-Gray Classic and was referred to as the best center in the SEC by an opposing coach. He helped lead the Bulldogs to the Sun and Hall of Fame Bowls.
After college, Hull joined the New Jersey Generals in the USFL before being drafted as a free agent to the Buffalo Bills. He started every game of his career, except one, with the Bills, playing for 10 years. He helped lead the Bills to four consecutive Super Bowls and four consecutive AFC Championships. He was also named to the Pro-Bowl three years in a row.
Hull can be found in numerous Hall of Fames across the country, including the Leflore County Hall of Fame, the Mississippi Hall of Fame, the Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame and the Buffalo Bills Wall of Fame. He was also a founding member of the Western New York Chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and with his efforts with this foundation, he was nominated for the Edge NFL Man of the Year Award in 1993.
