Glen Collins played football at Mississippi State from 1978 to 1981. He is one of the top defensive linemen in program history, earning both First All-America and First All-SEC honors in 1981. He earned Second Team All-SEC honors in 1980.
A native of Jackson, Miss., Collins finished his college career with 205 tackles and 26 sacks. He was a first-round pick of the Cincinnati Bengals in 1982 and spent six seasons in the NFL. He ended his career with the San Francisco 49ers in 1987.
In 2013, he was named Mississippi State’s SEC Legend.
