Clyde "Heifer" Stuart was a letterman for the Football and Baseball team from 1924 to 1927.
Despite the lack of size, weighed only 130 pounds while playing collegiate football, small even for the 1920’s, he was a great competitor.
Following his playing days at State, he went on to coach at all levels of sports, spending 30 years coaching between high school, two and four-year colleges while even spending 10 years at Southern Miss.
Stuart was elected to the Mississippi State Hall of Fame in 1970.
