A four-year NFCA First Team All-American (2007-10), Chelsea Bramlett-Malone finished her senior season as a USA Softball National Collegiate Player of the Year Top 10 finalist (2010) after finishing as a Top 25 finalist the two seasons prior (2008 and 2009).
Bramlett-Malone closed her career with a .461 career batting average that stood as the MSU career record and ranked eighth in NCAA Division I career history at the time. She also broke Bulldog career records for runs scored (219), hits (359) and stolen bases (207). The three-time NFCA Catcher of the Year (2008-10) owned Bulldog single-season records for batting average (.536, 2010) and stolen bases (61, 2010). She led State in hits, batting average, runs and stolen bases in all four years of her career.
Her 2010 batting average was the ninth-highest recorded in NCAA Division I history at the time, and her stolen bases that year were 10th in DI history. When she graduated, she was one of 12 players in Division I history with 350 career hits and one of only two with more than 200 stolen bases. Over the 2009 and 2010 seasons when she led the nation in stolen bases in both years, Bramlett-Malone successfully swiped 63 consecutive bags, which stood as the fifth-longest streak in Division I history at that time.
Bramlett-Malone also excelled off the field, and was a three-time CoSIDA Academic All-American, including being tabbed the 2010 ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA Academic Player of the Year. That year also saw her named a finalist for the Honda Award and win her second NFCA Golden Shoe Award (2009 and 2010).
