Rachel Fox
- Title:
- Graduate Assistant Manager
Finalizing the 2015-16 staff, Mississippi State softball head coach Vann Stuedeman has announced the addition of Rachel Fox as a graduate assistant.
A 2015 graduate of Texas A&M University, Fox pitched in two of the three games that MSU faced the Aggies in last season. During her senior season, Fox tossed 182 strikeouts in 232 innings of work as the Aggies’ Friday/Sunday starter and recorded a 3.14 ERA and a 23-14 record in 37 starts and 46 appearances.
“I am just so thrilled that Rachel said yes when we offered her a chance to come to Mississippi State,” said head coach Vann Stuedeman. “She knows how to win and how to be successful in the Southeastern Conference and that will greatly benefit our program and our student-athletes as individuals moving forward.”
A native of Sugar Land, Texas, Fox led TAMU to two NCAA Regional appearances in two seasons with the program and was also named to the 2015 SEC Community Service Team.
“I know the program is on the rise and I feel I can help given my experience,” said Fox. “Vann does a great job developing pitchers and having pitched for so long, that is my specialty. I am excited for the opportunity to get my graduate degree and remain around SEC softball.”
Fox transferred to TAMU after spending her freshman and sophomore seasons at Texas, where she made two NCAA Regional Appearances with the Longhorns, one of which also having included a Super Regional showing.
