ATHENS, Ga. – For the second time in as many days, senior Caroline Seitz sent one out the park with the bases loaded as the Mississippi State Bulldogs (30-14, 5-9 SEC) fell in a heartbreaker to the 19^th-ranked Georgia Bulldogs (29-14, 3-11 SEC), 7-6, on Saturday.

Seitz became the first player in school history to hit a grand slam in back-to-back games, as she knocked one out Friday in the sixth and then unloaded in the fourth on Saturday to push MSU into the lead. It was the 34^th grand slam in school history and the 32^nd homer of Seitz's career, giving her sole possession of third place on the MSU all-time home runs list.

For the day, Seitz finished 3-for-4 with five runs batted in and one run scored, marking her 10^th multi-hit showing of the year and team-leading eighth multi-RBI contest. She has now hit safely in six-straight games, tying her career high. For the weekend, Seitz is hitting 5-for-7 (.714) with 11 RBI, two grand slams and two runs, while recording a scorching 1.571 slugging percentage and .625 OBP.

Amanda Ivy also turned in a multi-hit performance (fourth of the year), going 2-for-3 with a double for the Bulldogs.

Kat Moore, Reggie Harrison and Sarai Niu earn turned in a hit on the day, with Moore's driving in a run in the fourth to spark the five-run frame. Bevia Robinson reached base three times on Saturday, drawing a trio of walks and scoring two runs in the process. She also stole two bases to move her season total to 26, marking her sixth game this season with multiple stolen bases.

Georgia kicked off the day's scoring in the second inning, when a wild pitch with runners on second and third put UGA up 1-0. A fielder's choice on the same at-bat would drive home another and give the home team a 2-0 lead.

State chipped away in the next inning, as Seitz tallied her first of five RBIs with a single to score Robinson. UGA responded in the home half, getting an RBI double to push its lead to 3-1.

Trailing by two, the Maroon and White broke it open in the fourth. Georgia was able to retire the first two batters, but an Ivy single and Robinson walk set up a Moore RBI base hit to cut the lead to 3-2. Moore would then steal second and Harrison drew a walk to load the bases for none other than No. 15.

On a 2-2 pitch, Seitz delivered her second grand slam in as many games, sending a shot off the scoreboard in left to give State a 6-3 lead.

Despite giving up the grand slam, Georgia would not go quietly. An RBI single in the fourth cut the lead to two and a two-run homer to right would tie things up at 6-6 in the fifth. UGA surged back into the lead in the sixth, using three-straight singles to take a 7-6 advantage.

MSU would try to rally in the seventh, as Ivy led things off with a double to the wall in right center. However, Georgia kept State at bay and evened the series with a 7-6 victory.

Holly Ward made the start in the circle for MSU, going 5.1 innings with five strikeouts and one walk. Alexis Silkwood (12-4) went 0.2 innings in relief.

Ivy Heating Up…
Seitz hasn't been the only one hot at the plate this weekend. Fellow senior Amanda Ivy went 2-for-3 with a double on Saturday, moving her to 4-for-6 with three runs scored and two double on the weekend. She now has four multi-hit showings this year.

Robinson A Master At Stealing Bases…
For the sixth time this season, Bevia Robinson stole multiple bases in a game, earning two on Saturday. She reached base three times in game two, drawing a trio of walks. She also scored a pair of runs in Saturday's contest.
