STARKVILLE, Miss. – Following a week that saw the Bulldog women's squad shatter three program records, Mississippi State catapulted all the way to No. 21 in this week's USTFCCCA national rankings, the publication announced Monday.
Last week at the Crimson Tide Invitational, three Bulldog field athletes grabbed school records while competing in Tuscaloosa. Indoor All-American Logan Boss, who currently leads the nation in the high jump at 1.89m, dominated the event and picked up her second victory of the season. She broke a two-year-old mark of 1.87m held by former MSU All-American Erica Bougard, who is currently competing for USA Track & Field.
Tiffany Flynn, who also picked up Indoor All-America honors last month, improved upon her school record triple jump mark from last season in her victory. She leapt 13.33m, which is currently the fifth best mark in the nation and third best in the conference.
Freshman Alexis Farley, who was bested only by Flynn in last weekend's triple jump, leapt 12.45m in the competition. That mark is the highest achieved by a newcomer in program history, and is the fourth best by any MSU athlete regardless of classification. Farley currently stands seventh in the nation amongst active freshmen in the triple jump.

In total, 11 Bulldog female athletes and relay teams have earned marks inside the top 50 in the NCAA during the outdoor campaign.
"We are honored to be back inside the top 25 after having a fantastic weekend all the way around," MSU coach Steve Dudley said. "It is obviously a big deal when we are breaking school records, because we have had some really spectacular athletes come through this program. I am really happy with the way our entire team has been competing so far through these first few weeks, and I am really looking forward to seeing how we continue to improve."
This weekend the MSU track program will travel to Mobile, Ala., where they will be taking on the South Alabama Invitational.
