STARKVILLE, Miss. – Both in their third NFL seasons, Denico Autry and Gabe Jackson of the Oakland Raiders are the latest Bulldogs to be featured on Mississippi State football's #FromStateToSundays digital billboard campaign.
Autry (2012-13) and Jackson (2009-13) will be featured all day Sunday on a digital billboard from Friday through Sunday on 1-880 West Bound directly outside of the Oakland Coliseum. The Raiders will host the San Diego Chargers in an AFC West matchup at 3:25 p.m. CT live on CBS.
A third round pick in the 2014 NFL Draft at guard, Jackson has started 32-of-33 games in his career and has blocked for a Raiders rushing attack that currently ranks fifth in the NFL with 126.8 yards per game. Signed as an undrafted free agent following the 2014 Draft, Autry has appeared in 28 games and amassed 40 total tackles and 3.5 sacks.
Jackson was one of the elite offensive linemen in MSU history and started in all 52 games of his career at left guard, along with having been a two-time All-America and two-time All-SEC first team recipient. Autry started in 23-of-26 games during his two years at MSU and collected 73 total tackles, 16 tackles for loss, six sacks and forced three fumbles. The duo played together in Starkville during the 2012 and 2013 seasons, collecting Liberty Bowl and Egg Bowl victories in 2013.
Last Sunday, MSU featured 2013 second round pick and 2012 Jim Thorpe Award winner Johnthan Banks in downtown Tampa. Banks became the first individual national award winner for an MSU football player in the 113-year history of the program.
A total of 12 Bulldogs are currently on active NFL rosters. Another two are on injured reserve and six others are on practice squads. All 20 of them played for Dan Mullen at State.
